National 10 Ft. x 1/4 In. Hydraulic Shear - NH12025

The NH12025 Hydraulic Shear from National is designed for precise shearing through a full 120 inches of 1/4" (3 gauge) mild steel at up to 12 strokes per minute.  This shear is also recommended for cutting aluminum, plastic, copper, brass, lead and a range of composite materials.  The NH12025 ships complete with spring actuated hold downs, front sheet supports, a manual back gauge with positive locks and a front table square with 1/16" increment length scale.  National heavy duty power shears are equipped with a fully integrated hydraulic unit, complete with an electrical hydraulic valve, pilot operated-pressure relief valve, heavy duty double acting cylinders and a fully enclosed control panel.  A shrouded foot switch allows the unit to return to the top of the stroke when the operator removes his foot from the pedal.  The pedal is attached to a long flexible cable, allowing it to be placed in a comfortable working position.

The cutting heads on National shears are constructed from D2 steel, a high carbon, high chromium alloy that offers extremely high wear and abrasion resistance.  Both upper and lower blades have been ground and sharpened on all four sides, doubling the working life of the shear versus the more common two-sided blades from other manufacturers.  National machinery offers superior strength and durability with a body constructed of welded steel plates, a much stronger design over the cast iron frames commonly used by the industry. 

An optional 60" front squaring arm is available, as well as a fully powered back gauge upgrade that features digital movement control in precise increments of one thousandth of an inch and provides 30" of travel on precision Thomson bearings.
