The model U6-9614 - 8' x 14 Ga. Box & Pan Brake is from National's heavy-duty line of metal brakes and features a larger 6" box depth and increased material bending capacity. National bending brakes offer superior strength and durability with a body constructed of welded steel plates, a much stronger design over the cast iron frames commonly used by other brake manufacturers. Heavy truss rods, reinforced bracing and precision bearings ensure accurate and repeatable bending for the life of the machine. The design of the National brake features replaceble bushings at common wear points to further extend the working life of the machine. The National U6-9614 ships standard with extended bending handles, dual counterweights and an apron stop for setting repeatable bends. The section fingers are precision machined from rolled steel bar stock for maximum clamping strength and near-zero deflection during bending operations. The fingers can be easily adjusted or quickly removed by the simple loosening of a cap screw.
